Once again: the error comes from msgfmt. Poedit can only report it to
you, it cannot change it even if I agreed with you.

There's no such thing as "Gettext dialect". PO files are key-value files
and as such, the keys (=msgids) cannot be duplicated, period. It's not a
property of some "dialect" as you imagine, it's the way the PO *format*
works. That's why the msgid is called msgid, as in "message identifier":
identifiers obviously have to be unique, otherwise they wouldn't
identify anything, would they?

That would be "your PO file doesn't conform to the PO format".

No, it is not. An operation requested by the user (PO->MO compilation)
failed. That's an *error* and needs to be treated as such.

Because it's sometimes convenient. Like for testing (translators do test
their translations in the app, don't they?). But I guess it should be
reverted -- judging from how many translators send me both PO and MO
files needlessly, it does confuse people less familiar with Gettext.
