Hi:

So that part worked. I moved the .m4 file to the appropriate 
directory and now autogen.sh worked.

Now I ran ./configure and I got the following error:

checking dependency style of g++... gcc3
checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... g++ -E
checking for wx-config... no
configure: error:
         Please check that wx-config is in path, the directory
         where wxWindows libraries are installed (returned by
         'wx-config --libs' command) is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or
         equivalent variable and wxWindows is version 2.3.3 or 
above.

But I have wx-config is installed and here is what I got fir 
that:

[[email protected] poedit]# which wx-config
/usr/local/bin/wx-config

and ,

[[email protected] poedit]# echo $PATH
/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin

and

[[email protected] poedit]# wx-config --libs
-L/usr/local/lib -pthread -lwx_gtk2u-2.4

and,

[[email protected] poedit]# echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/usr/local/lib


I hope I have provided all the info.
