Anything is possible, but I've been compiling stuff with Autotools for 
11 years. I should have figured out by how how to do configure; make; 
make install.

It's missing for good reason, this is not what I thought you meant by 
manual. I expect that the manual is the man page. Clearly I missed an 
important source, but please don't think that I didn't put any effort. 
It is possible to put in an honest effort and still fail. That can 
happen to anybody.

I thought it would be a trustworthy source on the topic of how to 
translate wxWidgets C++ applications. It seemed like a very good source.
