Actually, the schools do NOT have a much in depth vision of anything at all. 
This means, that I have to fight off the impression that after the pilot 
project, their personnel will be trained sufficiently to do the othe 90+ 
schools. I am stressing time after time that the choice of educational 
software is really imprtant to make the project work - if they insist on 
running stuff under vmware then they need MS licenses and more servers, more 
memory AND an expensive vmware license.

Also, teachers must have an easy way to add users of a certain 'class' (pun 
intended) and that needs to be developed.

All in all I cross my fingers to see if they will catch in with the broader 
idea. They seem to have a hard time to imagine to save at least 5000 
computers times 800 dollars against some project cost and some deep thinking.

By the way, I tested two tootbee cd's - great stuff but in many apps a good 
manual is missing, and there is no such thing as student tracking. A good 
sampler but nothing I would really put inside a educational program - too 
much 'variety' in quality. Example: 'letter blocks' versus 'LeoCAD'. See for 
yourself.

Oh, and for the geeks:
1. download tootbee cd 1 into /iso/tootbee/tootbee-1.iso
2. sorry, no 2
3. sorry, no 3
4. start vmware
5. choose 'new virtual computer'
6. choose 'typical', and later 'other linux'
7. edit this 'new virtual computer'
8. remove floppy, usb, harddisk (!) and other useless stuff
9. change the virtual cd in to an iso image in /iso/tootbee/tootbee-1.iso

10. start this virtual machine.

ehhh... hey ! it's booting off the 'cd' since there is nothing else to boot 
from... and it runs tootbee inside vmware !
