Hmmm... Experience shows that entering into this kind of activity always results in failure unless there is enough infrastructure in place to support the ongoing development and training of staff. You also identify the need to select the right software. I understand this is only a pilot, but I recomend that you chack out a number of past projects that report their findings honestly so you can give them some real facts about failed projects. I know there was a major thing in Canada that went belly up because of lack of foresight, see if you can find that stuff. Basically, they can (will?) buy into the idea of saving $X per machine, but if the systems are not used then whatever is spent is a waste of money. Thinking about it, these kind of reports about large scale roll outs would be a great resource for CIS to reference. If anyone has ten minutes spare do a quick search and post the links up here. Ross
