This list and the CIS website is used to document our activities.  You
are
free to take this information and use it in your own community projects.

We are using an open source tool called Burrokeet to assist schools in
creating their online presence.  There are three steps to the process:

1. Use either OpenOffice or MS Word to develop your web content, i.e.
just
open the word processor and start typing what you want for each page.
2. Use the Burrokeet tool to generate the website.
3. Upload the website to a web server.

It really is that simple.  OpenOffice is the preferred tool for
developing
content and is freely available at http://www.openoffice.org.  The
Burrokeet
is used to organise the content and to generate the website.  It is
still in
early stages of development and not ready for production use yet but is
still quite usable.  You can get more information from
http://www.burrokeet.org.

Anil Ramnanan is the main developer on the Burrokeet project and is also
a
member of the CIS.  He can give you more technical details about the
solution.
