This from a colleague in German Studies. I'm always skeptical about what impact such a petition will have, but it is better than doing nothing. If you are interested in signing, you'll find the link below. Best, Elizabeth McDaniel College in Maryland has decided, upon the unanimous approval of its board of trustees, to suspend future undergraduate enrollment in Art History, Religious Studies, Latin, French, German, and Music, as well as the graduate program in Deaf Education. McDaniel College is on the list of "Colleges that Change Lives," and is a liberal arts institution of 1500 students allegedly committed to a liberal arts education.
