Those interested in learning more about the Greek in Greece study abroad =
program are invited to participate in an online videoconference this Thur=
sday at 4pm Eastern Time (US  and Canada). To do so, simply send an email=

Greek in Greece (May 21 - June 27, 2020, offered jointly by Ohio Universi=
ty and the University of Patras) provides students who have had one or mo=
re semesters of classical Greek the opportunity to earn college credit fo=
r the equivalent of one semester=E2=80=99s further study of the ancient l=
anguage. Each student enrolls in the appropriate level of Greek ( 2nd sem=
ester beginning, 1st sem. intermediate, 1st sem. advanced). Each student =
also enrolls in introductory modern Greek and in myth and theater. Three =
credits are awarded for each course. Weekends feature day-long field trip=
s to important archaeological sites and museums; the first three days of =
the program are devoted to the sites and museums of Athens. The instructo=
rs in the program are the faculty of Ohio University (classical Greek, my=
th) and of the University of Patras (modern Greek, theater).
