Re: Different menu files for groups

I spent several hours trying to get DocsCustom to work, but failed. I'm 
sure I must have done something wrong, but I spent way too much time 
trying to find the putative mistake. I had trouble, as well, with a 
feature added to EZproxy back in version 1.4a -- ::menu=xyz.htm -- as I 
found blithely using it will screw up the menus. It then occurred to me 
(I also had outside help) to treat the "::menu=..." element like a 
variable and pepper user.txt with alternating statements. A kludge, 
certainly, but it seems to work. viz,

::menu=menu.htm  [Start out insisting upon the default menu file.]
::group=group1
::group1 stuff

::menu=xyz.htm

::group=group2xyz
::group2xyz stuff

::menu=menu.htm  [Return to default for the LDAP users. Alternatively, 
add a menu for a third group.]

::group=group3123
::LDAP
LDAP stuff
/LDAP

::menu=menu.htm  [I was warned that LDAP is a bit tricky, so I bracketed 
it with identical default menu statements to be safe. It might not be 
necessary, but it seems to work.]

::menu=yetanother.htm  [...And so on.]
::group=xxxxxxxxxxxx
...

::menu=menu.htm [I closed user.txt with the default to be safe.]


This way, the different menu files can be different redirects to 
fancier, and more relevant resource lists on the school's website. For 
us, the different resource list pages are formatted in accordance with 
institutional policy.
