Hi David. Check the messages file from the admin page or logged on to your ezproxy server. Our network does not support IP6 but the default linux install configures it on our server. We get IP6 messages like this :- 2019-08-22 13:31:59 UUconnect connect refused by www.doi.org(2600:9000:21b4:c000:19:2a12:d500:93a1):443 ((101) Network is unreachable) in DoTranslate The IP4 addresses in the messages file look like this :- 2019-08-22 11:43:20 UUconnect remote host maintsched.crcnetbase.com (208.254.74.132) considered down in DoTranslate I believe you can use an "Interface " command to set an IP4 address for ezproxy to stop it using IP6 addresses. This isn't an EZ-Proxy issue so I apologize for the noise on this list. But I can't think of a better brain trust than this one. I have tried using public DNS, such as 8.8.8.8<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/3VcDCgZ05JfmKMEZHNtlzr?domain=8.8.8.8> in my IP configuration. One other detail is that our campus isn't routing IPv6 and but IT has told me it isn't a factor...and OUP was unfazed when I mentioned that. We're starting to conclude that one of the ISPs is at fault but they only respond to specific requests from specific parties...and they keep booting it around. Normally its up to folks like us to find the "smoking gun" but I can't see what they can see. I'm not looking forward to announcing a cancellation of the OED and DNB. Our DNS requests are not resolving from within our IP range. We can get to the site using raw IP. Appeals to OUP and the ISPs involved have yielded no resolution...no one admits to DNS blocking. Our domain union.edu<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/RLfDCmO5wZsA8OyNSQWKyr?domain=union.edu> is on one or two blacklists, possibly due to our main website (hosted externally) being on a 'suomispam' list. I believe it means 'suspected of spam.' But our IT dept told me that our IP range is what matters, not our domain name. Has anyone had experience like this? or suggestions to investigate further? Where might our domain name be part of a policy? Do ISPs choose blacklists which list domains? We are considering canceling these valuable resources but this is unprecedented to my knowledge.
