Re: Gale issues

We are still having problems, thanks everyone for their suggestions so far.  It seems like the Open URL uses unsupported tags (that's what I got from Gale's helpdesk) but since most people are using the same system as us and not having problems, I'm not sure what the proxy error is, here is our current stanza if anyone sees anything off! (it doesn't help that IT manages this so it's me putting in requests for each change)

One more quick followup here.  Might be worth checking your gale admin account settings if you are having issues as the ezproxy link that was set for our account is not our ezproxy link and we are fairly sure we would not have changed it to this:

Thanks for sharing.
We were having similar problems with:
Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context
Gale Cengage Literature Resource Center

but in Alma.  Made the same change removing the url2 from the parser and they are working now.  Now I'm not sure if the problem is on ExLibris's side or Gale's but I'm kind of leaning toward Gale.

(I tried to send this the other day, but it bounced. Resending since it looks like there were problems with the list.)

We'd been having a problem, too. About a week ago our SFX administrator made a change as a temporary work-around until we can investigate more thoroughly. I'm not sure that our issue was in conjunction with EZProxy, but the solution might be similar. Here's what she wrote.

I updated the parse params for the getFullTxt service for the following targets to remove the parameter 'url2=https://link.gale.com/apps':

GALEGROUP_BUSINESS_INSIGHTS_ESSENTIALS
GALEGROUP_CONTEMPORARY_WOMENS_ISSUES
GALEGROUP_DB_INFORME
GALEGROUP_IT_EXPANDED_ACADEMIC_ASAP

This seems to force the links to go through a working URL rather than one that caused that authentication issue.
