Re: Taylor Francis eBooks

Hi all,

We're now seeing this same problem, with the 1.amazonaws URL for downloading PDFs (that's in the stanza as neverproxy) returning a "site cannot be reached" error. Also, our proxy is quite clearly being stuck onto the end of the amazonaws url.

So it's: NeverProxy s3-euw1-ap-pe-ws4-capi2-distribution-p.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com

But what we see when trying to download is: s3-euw1-ap-pe-ws4-capi2-distribution-p-s3-eu-west-1-amazonaws-com.vortex3.uco.edu

For us, everything else works fine. Off-campus students are able to access the books on T&F's site; they just can't download the PDF.

Did anyone perhaps send Josh an off-list solution to this?

Hi Josh,

I have a quite look at our access to T&F ebook, everything seems working at our end. Is there a particular title you have the access issue? Or, your access issue happened after particular access steps? If so, let me know and I am happy to test the same titles or steps at my end.

Hello All,

I am currently attempting to resolve an access issue with our Taylor & Francis eBooks and I am wondering if others are having the same issue.  I am currently using the most recent stanza, but my testing indicates that the included NeverProxy line is not working as intended and my users are receiving a "This site can't be reached" error.  Based on the URL that is presented the NeverProxy statement is not working.  I have already moved the stanza to top to account for conflicting stanzas and that had no impact.  Taylor & Francis reports that they have exhausted their troubleshooting and I should reach out to OCLC for assistance.

Any thoughts/recommendations?
