Hi, Kelly great!! we're still on EZproxy 6.4.4 GA and your solution works perfectly. [[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, October 2, 2019 14:42 To: Fabiano Petrone; [email protected] Subject: RE: still deny user.txt troubles Hi Fabiano, If your question is in reference to the syntax for the creation of a deny list, which will point the user to a custom deny html web page named custom.htm then the syntax would be Intruder:intruder:deny=custom.htm More appropriately if you have an id which you wanted to block (example: intruderID), and did not know the password then the syntax would be intruderID::deny=custom.htm This will deny access to any intruderID identifier and send them to the custom created /docs/custom.htm page you place in your Ezproxy server. If you had a series of login IDs (like intruderID01, intruderID02, intruderID03, intruderID04) you needed to block, you would enter intruderID01::deny=custom.htm intruderID02::deny=custom.htm intruderID04::deny=custom.htm intruderID05::deny=custom.htm If you don't want to use the =custom.htm then the default html page for deny is /docs/deny.htm, then you should be able to use intruderID01::deny intruderID02::deny intruderID04::deny intruderID05::deny Using the "=" syntax to specify the page had always worked for us in the past, but I don't see that syntax on the current Ezproxy documentation page now https://help.oclc.org/Library_Management/EZproxy/Authenticate_users/Directives_and_configurations_for_authentication/Common_conditions_and_actions So I don't know if things have changed, or the documentation needs to be corrected, but that is what worked for us. We currently are on version 6.5.2 GA. Try using the "=" sign to see if that does what you need, or create a /docs/deny.htm . Kelly M. Vickery Director of Library Information Technology William T.
