If your Knowledge Base / OpenURL resolver is configured to invoke EZProxy on all your resources that require it, you can use University of Groningen's elegant solution: https://www.rug.nl/library/. For Bangor University it would be: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?submitButton=&q=&hl=en&inst=2074156991885190451
Here's a query showing it in action: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?submitButton=&q=fish+hormone+disruption&hl=en&inst=2074156991885190451.

For institutions that don't preconfigure their link resolver with their EZproxy prefix just use your inst= on your EZproxy Starting Point URL. You can obtain your inst= code following the steps at https://ericsilva.me/google/linking-your-school-library-to-google-scholar/. This fixes the query host to scholar.google.com and may avoid your red screen of danger.

Google scholar works fine when using the scholar.google.com BUT not for scholar.google.co.uk I'm not sure where the user has found the scholar.google.co.uk
