Re: blocked proxied url

Thanks to everyone for offering suggestions !

I have added SPUEdit lines to my EZProxy configuration to redirect google scholar access to a not-proxied URL which includes my institution ID.

I am still concerned that Google should consider my EZProxy server as a phishing server - because my institution configuration in google scholar tells google scholar to use my EZProxy server for institution specific links !

We started getting them for Scholar earlier in the year then sometime in the second half of the year they stopped.  I suspected our EZproxy upgrade was the solution but another list member experiencing the problem had the same version as us, so I’m completely at a loss what the cause or solution is.



My workaround at the time was to use a form that pushed Google search terms through EZproxy and somehow avoided the message (and the redirection from .com to .com.au (which I think is a clue)).



The code’s simple, you can edit it for MQ’s EZproxy prefix and see if it works for you, and maybe you can figure out what’s going on.

Is anyone getting "deceptive site" blocks ?



We have been blocked by FireFox and Chrome for just one URL, which is for scholar.google.com.au when it is proxied. This is only for the ".au" site. We are not blocked when using scholar.google.com when it is proxied.



Please let me know if anyone has any deceptive site messages for any proxied URLs.
