Re: EZproxy self-hosted and OCLC-hosted

We are in the process of establishing hosted EZproxy. I encourage other potential customers to review the EZproxy contract/schedule early and carefully; we haven’t yet been able to get it to a position that we are comfortable signing. This has been frustrating for us, but we trust we’ll find agreement soon, and I hope our contract negotiations will lead to modifications that will benefit other libraries as well.

We’ve just requested a quote from OCLC for EZproxy Hosted. I’ve been told by the Orders group that EZproxy Analytics is not yet available for quote but should be “later in FY 20.” I’ve also been told that the switch to hosted will require that your starting point URLs be changed. For us that will mean making the change on our website, LibGuides, informing faculty who have proxied URLs in Blackboard, etc.
