Hello Saikat,

Thanks. That is the dumbest thing I have heard, but since I have known
about ETS for over 14 years or so now, I am not surprised.

Here is what I think: 1. It does not matter. 2. Just send your old score,
the conversion and ETS's dumber than stone explanation along to any school,
wherever you have space to provide extra information.

Really, the school that is worth it's salt, should look at your score, at
the time it was taken and focus on the percentile of the score, and of
course, on all other parts of your application. You don't want to be
associated with a school that got it's panties in a knot over 166 vs 170...=
.
