Hi Srihari,

	* Thank you very much for your prompt reply, suggestion and opinion.=C2=A0

	* I hope the schools will also find this conversion dumb. I have not found=
any explanation/justification from ETS behind =C2=A0this conversion. Howev=
er, if anyone finds such thing please let me know (just curious :)).

Hello Saikat,

Thanks. That is the dumbest thing I have heard, but since I have known abou=
t ETS for over 14 years or so now, I am not surprised.=C2=A0

Here is what I think: 1. It does not matter. 2. Just send your old score, t=
he conversion and ETS's dumber than stone explanation along to any school, =
wherever you have space to provide extra information.=C2=A0

Really, the school that is worth it's salt, should look at your score, at t=
he time it was taken and focus on the percentile of the score, and of cours=
e, on all other parts of your application. You don't want to be associated =
with a school that got it's panties in a knot over 166 vs 170....

Good Luck,

Srihari
