Happy New Year Friends, IMSA's 21st Century Information Fluency Project is pleased to announce a new teaching and learning resource. IMSA MicroModules is an online teaching and learning package consisting of short, self-directed learning modules to enhance your skills in locating, evaluating and using Internet resources for the classroom. A perfect complement to IMSA's 21CIF courses and workshop, this highly flexible and portable program enables you to: * Use a single module on an Internet topic that you or your students need. * Combine modules to facilitate comprehensive Internet skills training sessions for teachers and students in your school. * Use an online teacher's guide that helps you determine which modules best address learning objectives for your students. * Use a first-step Assessment tool to begin to gauge student knowledge outcomes. * Address information technology standards, including those established by the National Educational Technology Standards Project, the American Library Association and the Illinois State Board of Education's Illinois Learning Standards. You'll find the IMSA MicroModules at: http://wizard.imsa.edu . 21st Century Information Fluency Project Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy 1500 West Sullivan Road Aurora, IL 60506 http://wizard.imsa.edu
