Call for contributions CATWALK: Slavic and East European Theatre Forum Catwalk is a new internet-based theatre journal published by the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, University of Toronto as a part of Toronto Slavic Quarterly (www.utoronto.ca/slavic/tsq/tsq.html). Catwalk seeks to establish a web discussion and news exchange space for the Slavic, East European and international theatre community throughout the world. By giving insightful analysis and criticism this journal will bridge the gap between practical theatre and academia, provide a dialogue between the stage and the audience, which would involve discussions and "round tables" between theatre artists and academics. We are inviting Slavic theatre practitioners throughout the world to share their experiences in making theatre firsthand. We are inviting theatre historians, theoreticians, and critics to share their expertise and insight. We hope to open new frontiers within the Slavic theatre field and invite the international theatre community to participate in this new publication. > Catwalk is a multilingual, quarterly publication. Each issue includes: -a number of critical essays on productions touching upon Slavic issues or done by Slavic artists across the globe, -a special feature section presenting either a theatre company or artist, or an event (a festival, a conference, a workshop, or a master-class), -a special feature theoretical or historical section, -an interview section presenting a new or established theatre voice, -a book review section,> -a new drama (either in original language or translation). >Please send your contributions to >[email protected] >[email protected]. >The deadline for the submittions for the first >November issue is September 15, 2002.
