crossposted from LGI Announce list School on Planning Budgeting and Financial Management in Local Governments More information and application forms may be obtained from: http://www.pbf.pl From June 23 to July 3, 2002 (dates subject to final confirmation), the Progress and Business Foundation, Kraków, Poland, will organize a Summer School on Planning, Budgeting and Financial Management in Local Government Institutions. The training is supported by the Poland-America-Ukraine Cooperation Initiative (PAUCI) - a USAID program managed by Freedom House. Participation is limited to maximum 25 Ukrainian elected local government officials. The participants will receive a tution waiver, free lodging and accommodation during the Course, and an equivalent of up to US $ 100 to cover the travel costs to and from Poland. However, preference will be given to those candidates who may get at least partial travel support from local sources. Participants may submit a paper concerning the Course topics to be presented during the 'Participants Day'. The deadline for applications is May 29.
