I would rather see the button labelled "send Gordon a message", i.e.
"send X a message" where X is the user name of the home page you are
visiting. But ignore this suggestion if it is much effort to implement.

Envelopes are ambiguous as to whether it is incoming or outgoing (or who
it is to).
