Wait. I meant to mention this in my last message but I hit send too soon. I had checked, and the version of emacspeak that FC3 includes is very old. The most recent version of emacspeak (downloaded from its homepage) does not inlude its own copy of regexp-opt. So the problem is not with emacspeak, but with Fedora. Why are they shipping such an old version of emacspeak? My apologies to everyone for not remembering to mention this earlier. -- Brett Presnell Department of Statistics University of Florida http://www.stat.ufl.edu/~presnell/ "We don't think that the popularity of an error makes it the truth." -- Richard Stallman () ascii ribbon campaign - against html mail /\ - against microsoft attachments
