PB with auctex-11.54 (debian testing)

Hi all,

I have upgraded my Debian testing system as usual
with "apt-get upgrade" and got auctex-11.54 installed
instead of 11.53.

Auctex doesn't get loaded now (it worked fine with 11.53)
I get the error message:

"Variable binding depth exceeds max-specspdl-size"

I have stripped off everything "personnal" (no hacked
site-start.el) and left one only line:
(require 'tex-site)
in my .emacs file.

Any clue of what is going on?
