I think TeX-fold-prioritize put the priority to the overlay correctly in such a case, if we tell TeX-fold-prioritize if the overlay has the priority. I think the category 'TeX-fold is a trigger to get the priority which is put before. I can't find out the trigger for preview-latex. Maybe, I misunderstand. -- Masayuki Ataka (Japan).
