Hi,

I have checked in code fixes and also updated the CVS-snapshot on the website of ECB -

Please test the new code with your setup and check if the reported bugs have been gone... My tests all have success.

In general: Now Emacs 23 compatibility is much better - see NEWS for details...

Ciao,
Klaus

Hi

just a letter of indication ;-):

I have now fixed all conflict-problems you reported (ediff and vc)... now the layout-engine of ECB is again a little bit more stable than before....ok, without joking: i'm quite satiesfied with the solutions...

I will checkin tomorrow and update the CVS-snapshot then you can test the new ECB-code within your environment and setup....

Thank you for your reports - they were are very valueable help for me to enhance ECB and make it more robust also with Emacs 23...

Ciao,
Klaus

steps to reproduce problem
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 start emacs
2 M-x ecb-activate
4 load file
5 M-x compile
6 M-x vc-next-action

expected:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*VC-log* buffer to open

error:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Window is dedicated to `*compilation*'

this does not happen with the default layout (left8 i think)
