The short version: You can't... Long story: ECB is designed to run in exactly one frame, the `ecb-frame' - this was and stil is a design-"axiom" from the beginning of our work on ECB... In general you are right, in the meanwhile i sometimes think, that i would be good, if ECB would support a multi-frame approach but unfortunatelly this would need a huge and complex redesign - i'm too busy for that, no chance... We were already started with a multi-frame approach (see ecb-multiframe.el in the CVS) but this is outdated for years because too much effort... For myself i can say, i will not restart it, reason see above... If anyone wants to work on it, feel free - i will support you with words and deeds as good as possible, but not more....
