You do that for projects that DO NOT carry any pedigree, GNU Emacs carries =
a lot of pedigree so does Linux.

There=E2=80=99s also potential damage: when I see an AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md=
 file
in a repository, I usually decide that my time is better spent elsewhere.

The presence of these files hints at accepting LLM contributions to me.

If this is similar for many others, we may lose potential human
contributors who are aligned with our policy of not accepting LLM
authored code.

Is there a way to get those LLMs to check the CONTRIBUTING file?
