It ought to be safe to rename the package, from what I have checked.  If
you want to we can proceed.  I can rename the package right away, and
then as soon as you rename the file locally /and/ release a new version
of the package, the new tarballs should appear on elpa.nongnu.org.  Does
that sound good?
