I've been a happy EMMS user for at least several years now, I can share
my setup if you want.  However, I would suggest you take a look at Ready
Player by Xenodium (https://github.com/xenodium/ready-player).
I haven't used it, but I only heard good things about his stuff.  (And
if you try it, please do come back here with some opinion - maybe I'll
even switch!)
