Question concerning User's Guide

Hi,
When I select Markup from the menubar when editing
book shortbook.xml, there's no "parsing DTD" message
in the minibuffer and the Elements menu is not
displayed.  Here's the backtrace I get after I try to
parse the DTD (C-c C-p):

I guess the application can't find the file
shortbook.xml in d:/test as I'm not sure about this
"void-variable after-change-function" message.

(Using XAE 1.0beta6 on WinNT 4.0 SP6)
