Accent problem

Hello,

i didn't manage to get the circum accent to work properly with xemacs. I
can use it every where else but in xemacs (for example here, it works
fine: ê) I can put the ^ letter in XEmacs, but i can't use it with
other letter. 

So I was wondering if there was a special option to include in the
~/.xemacs/init.el file to make it work.

I'm using a french keyboard and my version of XEmacs is 21.4
