Hi Markus,

maybe you should check the variable Info-directory-list first.  On my
system, I set this variable via the command

(setq Info-directory-list 
     '("/usr/share/info" "/usr/share/xemacs/info" "/usr/share/xemacs/xemacs-packages/info" "/usr/info" "."))

Make sure that this variable contains those directories where the
Info-files are located.
