I have used XEmacs for the same, and I use the menus a lot!

I'm not a power user but I've found a happy medium between
keystrokes/commands, a customized set of key bindings, and the menus (which
I believe could be improved a bunch, but I probably haven't read all the
info about them).

Please  don't even think about removing menus, I would have to move to
another IDE.
