Emacs crash

In XEmacs 21.1 (patch 12) "Channel Islands" [Lucid] (sparc-sun-solaris2.6) of Mon Dec 11 2000 on linsparc89
configured using `configure --prefix=/usr/local --site-prefixes=/opt/local --with-menubars=lucid --with-scrollbars=lucid --with-dialogs=lucid --with-workshop --with-pop'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Had a terminal screen open inside emacs. used the command "more". Have
attached a C stack backtrace for the core generated :
