Redefine Control C key!

Hi All,
I would like to re-define function for
Control-C key,but It seems that this
key have been defined as prefix key.
How can we undefine prefix key?
Anybody can help me how to redefine 
Control C as copy function as Windows Keybindings?
I use Suse Linux 7.0.  XEmacs version 21.1, May 1999.
Sometimes I have problems with mouse, XEmacs ask
for "Master file", and whatever I answer, it crashs.
