Counter's - have plenty

Rules - larger font not needed

GT - have already,  works well

Scenarios - up graded???  I most likely have the OOP one's already.

Maps - SK hasn't been worth buying new boards, at least IMHO, have doubles of most already.

Guess it's mainly that I can remember when the whole idea of the ASL RB was sold on the fact

that it was loose leaf so could be update as needed.  Also remember some EM exchanges I

had way back when, with Curt said  that nothing was changing with MMP taking over.

So I have all the parts already, just the updated rules as a separate package would be nice

and worth the money - especially since that was the idea behind the binder.  One of the learning

points from the SL days - which I actually have all the mods for as well, even in the purple box.  :-)

Being in retail management I have a good idea how things work, admittedly at a much larger scale

than MMP operates at.  So I would think it would be workable - however the margin would be

smaller than going the full package route.

Hence my remark on the comment on the merchandising tech..

Counters - upgraded (larger font).

Rules - upgraded (larger font, errata incorporated).

Gavutu-Tanambogo - upgraded (paper map, no overlays no longer needed).

Scenarios - upgraded, some formerly OOP included.

Maps upgraded (to SK style),

So IMHO there's little wrong with MMP's 'merchandising technique', even
disregarding the argument that Chas made that it's just too difficult.
Unless you only happen to be interested in a particular selection of the
upgrades. There is nothing in RS that has not been released in some form.

My copy ordered this AM, even though I have CoB and GH already, as well as
the map bundle.

Hummm....  so we need to buy something we already have, in order to

upgrade.

Wow..... nice merchandising technique.

Selling "scaled-down" versions of a HASL isn't likely to happen. It's too
big of a headache for the office  for too small a return to have them deal
with multiple versions. We also price and order components with a specific
number of units in mind. Mixing and matching different quantities of
components makes that impractical.
