More precisely, the unplayable board affects the rest of the field. Once the board is rendered unplayable, the rest of the field is scored without that entry and the scores are factored up (Neuberg formula in ACBL-land). After that, it does not matter what the artificial adjusted score was, the process remains the same for the rest of the field.
