Dealer (North) opens 2NT, promising 21-22 hcp balanced. Responder (South) has severely limited vision (hence holds a disability pension), so believes that North has opened a 12-14 1NT, therefore responds 2C insufficient Stayman. Out of sympathy for South's disability West uses Law 27A to accept the insufficient 2C, and West then passes. Has West infracted the Law 72A "chief object is to obtain a higher score"?
