Yes - but that's only the sound part. I can also, say, assume all games will
be 2D, and provide some sprite rendering and related utils...

You see, not every participant (if any!) will be professional developer, so
it's best to provide as much pre-made utilities as possible (even if most of
them get unused in the actual game)...
