Interesting choice of game...

Julian and Nick Gollop founded an indie studio called Codo Technologies a
couple of years back, after the collapse of Mythos Games. They're now
self-publishing a subscription-based play-by-email game called "Laser Squad:
Nemesis":

The last time we spoke, they were looking into some very interesting sales
models (I'm not sure if I should elaborate, so I won't - but you might be
able to work some of it out for yourselves using Google and a little
imagination).
