IIRC quake3 used aliases for the most common blend modes: add, blend and 
filter.

add = ONE / ONE
blend = ZERO / SRC_COLOR = DST_COLOR / ZERO
filter = SRC_ALPHA / ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA
