We are using CgFX on FX Composer 2 and NVSG, so it's definitely usable, but
your needs might be different from ours, so I'd recommend (and encourage) you
to report us the problems that you have found.

Documentation is obviously lacking, but we are currently working on that and
it will hopefully be more complete for Cg 1.5. In the meantime we are here to
help, so feel free to send me any question and I'll do my best to explain it.

Offline compilation is on our radar, but I think it has not been requested by
any developer. If more people request it, it will be prioritized.

I'm not aware of any problem in the error reporting mechanism, so please,
report us your findings.

I know there are still many problems remaining, but CgFX is in better shape
now than ever and it's getting better. If you are a registered developer, we
can give you access to the latest builds to try the latest fixes.

Hope that helps!
