Ah!
Thanks, I guess most of what I'm needing would be learned while
"working" in the game industry. Reading can only get you so far and most
books are for teaching the basics, not how to bust into the game industry,
kick butt, and take a few names.(unless you want to use somebody else's
tech, BORING!)
The cash register and hardware field is leaving me with a popeye right
forearm in biz type applications driver/interface modules and a little tiny
left forearm in integrating data, audio, lighting, models, and physics for
SPEED... it's that darn holy grail thing.... just out of reach, can taste
it, can't write it.
Thought I'd gotten away from memory paging, and then learn about
caching optimizations( same game, different name it looks like)... enough
griping eh?
Wonder if you can use the dma controller to copy memory? I mean while I've
loaded my cpu cache and am doing some physics Can I have the dma controller
doing a little memory to memory copying while NOT interfering with the ide
controller or gpu's access?

This is not the group for those kinds of questions, and I know no
one in the game industry...soooooo, If any of you know of an open topic
group without a hundred posts a day, please let me know.

And thanks for the input guys. Ya'll are GREAT!
Regards,
Don

That list is about one very specific scene graph - I'm not
aware of any really good lists about scene graphs in general.

The second law of Frisbee throwing states: "Never precede any maneuver
by a comment more predictive than "Watch this!"...it turns out that
this also applies to writing Fragment Shaders.
