Dear list members -- In the coming week, I will be upgrading the mailing list software used to host this list from ListGuru to a package called eCartis. In general, you shouldn't notice any differences in operation, other than perhaps seeing your message arrive sooner. It will still default to replying to the whole list, it will still have the same email address, still filter out spam, attachments and list commands, etc. The headers may look a bit different, but nothing too dramatic. If any of you have email rules set up, those might need to be changed, but again, it should be pretty evident. The mailing list software takes commands a bit differently, however. Commands should be in the message body, with a blank subject line, if you want to issue more than one command. If you only have one command, you can put it in the subject line. Where the ListGuru software understood "sub" == "subscribe" and "unsub" == "unsubscribe", eCartis does not; it expects fully spelled out commands to be used. The other basic commands are the same. For a short period of time, the old list software will be available at "[email protected]", and the new at "[email protected]", but eventually both will be pointing to eCartis. Stay tuned for more announcements after the translation. I'm targeting Wednesday night, after 7pm PST, as the switch over date. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact me off-list. thanks, Bruce Bergman ListMaster, Fat City Hosting ----- FAQ and OpenGL Resources at: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Hills/9956/OpenGL -- Author: Bruce A.
