Right, which is why devs have to offend and be forgiven.  Sure there
are risks.  The individual decides to take the risk despite the
consequences, because teams and managers become too conservative and
suffer from paralysis of analysis.  After offending with F# code, the
proper course of action would be to talk up how cool it all is, so
that other developers in the company have a desire to learn about it
and do things with it.  This isn't terribly different from
implementing any "controversial" feature for any application.  At some
point human beings have to make decisions, sometimes for personal
rather than group gain.
