   Like all other .CLR languages, JScript.NET is compiled into MSIL,
which is JIT-compiled into native code.

 

   While it's true that you could use any .NET language to "script", Lua
and Python offers some nice features that no CLR language can offer
today. On the other hand, it lacks some things which are useful in a CLR
environment (strong typing and static checks for example).

JIT?  Isn't JScript.NET compiled down into native code?
