Mark: Indeed.  It was supposed to have happened by now from what I recall 
being said in the '60s.  We are also supposed to be flying around on 
jet-packs ( I write this as an aside)

Out in the asteroid field, just beyond Mars, there are thousand and
thousands of rocks. Great big hunks of ice and minerals. Enough water on
one of those babies to make shortages a thing of the past. More minerals
than all the strip mines in all the world.

Mark: we have enough water and food to make shortages a thing of the past 
now, but we are too greedy.
