Bill: Hell, maybe we should give up any attempts at persuing technological
advances and crawl back into caves.

Mark: I never said as much. Why do you build a strawman?

Bill: The United States is built on innovation and discovery. It's the only
way to maintain our advantage in a world market.

Mark: Yes, Bill, we know you worship your country.

Bill: If we stopped trying every time there was a mishap, we'd be as bad
off
as many of the third world nations out there.

Mark: Oh really?

Bill: If not for our push for space, we would not a great many of the
household items the world takes for granted today. Heck, this internet
we use, the planes that fly, the cars we drive, the microwave ovens we
cook with ... a LOT of stuff was invented, discovered, or improved by
our push into space.

Mark: Yes, technology feeds on technology but did not require man missions.
If it weren't for WWII technology would not have been what we had in the
50s. Whoopee doo. But I am speaking about man missions and the costs. And
what if the pollution was doing very little compared with the satellites
destroying the ozone? I'd like to know, I am not claiming anything.

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the
earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and
against His Annointed One.
