And yes, I know you haven't called these cops fascists or thugs or
assassins, but accusing them of street executions as if they planned it
all along is not much different ...

Mark: Well I am not condemning the police on this occassion, but there is a 
wonder how the suspect was allowed to go so far before being challenged.  It 
is possible they wanted to make an example, but it is also possible, 
hopefully more likely, they wanted to know where he was going and so delayed 
a direct challenge.  I hope this was the reason.  Given what we know at 
present, I believe they did the right thing.
